When I was a kid, Mom wouldn't let me collect beer cans (in a strict no-alcohol home) so I collected soda pop cans instead. I had most of a wall-ful stacked up, most of which are still someplace in a big box -- these are from a 2nd small box, that wouldn't fit in the big one with the rest. (and I'm pretty sure I still have that big box somewhere, gotta go looking for it if it hasn't got lost already?) It would have been the mid to later 1970's when these were first collected, just before tab-less cans were introduced. Most are actually even made of steel, though a few are aluminum.
