I have a Meriden Brittania Company tea set with the MBC in the shields makers mark with EP in shields (not the circle with the scale) and I can not find the date range for when this specific mark was in use so that I can date my set. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I think the EP is going to be electro plated..and the other marks are what you want to date it...the crown. Star and? ...a better picture of that stamp would help. Not an expert, but my opinion..

Yes “ep” is electroplate. In this case the star etc are not for dating it is the MBC would be used if I knew when it was used.
