This is a 10” round Kyes Moire of Pasadena metal tray. Very popular collectors and vintage bar ware item. Not at all that rare, but made in the 1950s.
My issue is the handles on this particular tray are different than any others I have seen - in person or the Internet.
Usually they are a “Greek key” or a “filigree” design.
This has inward concentric arcs with curls. Again, I can’t find any examples of this handle style.
The last image shows the two styles next to each other. The second image shows the mystery Handel in detail.
The “traditional” tray is identical to this one with the exception of the handles and lack of a decal/label.
Could it have been a special order, a prototype, or….?
I am wishing the great wisdom of the CW populace might have an answer or a hint.
Thank you!!!
