This is a small United States Navy padlock made by ILCO.

Independent Lock Company was originally founded in 1922. There is not a whole lot of information on the company. I'm not sure when these locks were made. It's a small lock, so I imagine it's for a locker? Not sure what the swivel is for? Has a nice decorated key that is numbered to the lock.

Had a bunch of orange paint, so I had to clean that off.. I also cleaned some of the patina to reveal the details. I added the chain to keep the key with the Lock. After attaching the chain, I looked on line and saw several locks that had a similar chain. It's nice to have a workshop filled with vintage stuff in the basement.
