Fukurokuju - Japanese God Of Longevity

    10 1/2" Tall

This is a large wood carved statue I recently found. It's a pretty large size. The carving is mainly on the front and sides. It's a crude carving compared to others I've seen and owned. But it's a decent representation. Last picture shows some smaller detailed carvings.

    FUKUROKUJO
Fukurokuju is one of the Seven Lucky Gods. He is the Japanese God of longevity.

"The Seven Lucky Gods are worshipped as part of a Japanese belief system derived from a blending of indigenous and Buddhist beliefs, and refers to the seven gods Ebisu, Hotei, Benzaiten, Bishamonten, Daikokuten, Jur?jin, and Fukurokuju."
