Fell in love with these at an antique shop today. They are not antiques (2001) but the kind of remind me of Staffordshire. This is not the complete set, so I have to look for the others. Funny, I found out that these came from the same estate sale that all of my Sherlock collectables came from. I guess that the previous owner and I have the same taste because I am attracted to her items everywhere I go...soon I will have her whole house in mine :)
Picture #2 is Chaucer and he is much larger than the others.
From the internet:
Rye Pottery's hand-painted figures based on the pilgrims from Chaucer's renowned Canterbury Tales. The driving design influences for this collection are Neville Coghill’s translation of Chaucer's original text and the few illustrations of the Pilgrims shown in the Ellesmere Manuscript. The colour palette centers on Cobalt Blue, Terracotta, earthy Browns & a soft Green.
It will be a big set!
They are wonderful depictions of the characters.

Thank you! Many more to go...
Beautiful Canterbury Tales figures, what a fabulous parade! The medieval clothing is awesome, I esp love those hats
What a coincidence:) you were met to have them.
Good luck on your search.
