Beautiful green dolphin- reminds me of the other one you showed a while back which was orange?! You have the sea green one to match the fire one- nice!
The speckles in his molded glass make me think of a spotted dolphin(is that the species?!) He's done very sleekly- I see he has no side fins either in his sculpt which adds to his sleekness, I think he's holding them in to swim even faster... :)
Just splashed out of the water at Sea World, adorable piece of art !~
I have a blue one somewhere (?)
Many thanks to you all for the dolphin love

Thank you Lauren for your terrific comment & sharing your knowledge of the spotted dolphin, I never saw one before until finding the images online and yes, I agree this dolphin must be one of those. I do have an orange glass dolphin (it is actually amberina but that usually comes out pretty orange) which is similarly shaped but smaller, maybe this one's baby sister lol. I too love his sleek curved look, Wedgwood made some great animals & I'm so glad you liked this one
Phil thank you for your fantastic praise, yes I can picture this fellow splashing it up at a show. When we visited Hawaii some yrs ago our hotel had dolphins swimming in the pool (you could actually swim with them if you knew how which I don't), and they would act just like Flipper, rising up and swimming backwards while doing their version of laughing :)
Thank you vintagelamp for your wonderful comment & now I am hoping to see your blue dolphin, if you find it please post it! I have two glass dogs for you coming up, one has floppy ears and the other sort of looks like a retriever, will post soon
I really like the Stennet Wilson animals, simple shapes, very evocative, and beautiful glass.
This one is an excellent exemplar.
Karen I agree, Mr Willson was a wonderful glass animal maker, and I love his speckled glass like this one. Many thanks for your always awesome praise & love
Thank you Bruce for the love for this Wedgwood dolphin, I'm so grateful for your kindness & have a couple more Wedgwood animals coming up that I hope you'll like
Thanks Searching and jb for the very thoughtful love for this Wedgwood dolphin, it's super kind of you and gratefully appreciated
