antique picture frame (#2)

Here's another cool old frame with questionable art now in it, this one is 28" x 24". It looks like its current gold paint was added over whatever finish the original wood and plaster fancywork had, but the gold has probably been on there a pretty long time too, perhaps even having been refreshed itself sometime along the way. Pic 4 is intended to show that this one has a unique method of construction involving several parts all the way around each side, almost like somebody framed a frame, but again looking mostly like it has always been that way.
