      Yes, that looks distinctly Japanese. It’s a cup (yunomi) for steeped tea, mainly used for sencha. There are many kilns in Japan so it’s hard to know which one this is (I don’t really read Japanese but the second character is -yama or -zan, meaning “mountain”). The flower is a bit abstract but I think it’s asagao or morning glory. A very pretty little cup.
