This is my second ATO clock of this model, This one, unlike the first older one, comes with it's garnitures, or Tazzas (cups).
I found it on eBay being sold for parts the vendor claimed it was inoperable. When I got it and hooked a battery up to it and off it took. In The last picture is from Leon Hatot's 1929 catalog showing the clock priced at 695 French francs which back then was $124.37 just for the clock, if you added the Garnitures it was 900 French francs or $161.05.
It is a massive heavy clock, the case is in excellent shape, the eBay vendor said it had cracks along the bottom but I couldn't find any. I think he was calling the natural mottling, "cracks". One of the tazzas has been repaired. The clock is missing one of its bun feet on the left hand side in the middle. The set is almost oriental looking Chinese pine boughs because of the windswept veining.
The white veining in the marble shows up really well, as does the black. This one features Leon's spider web design on the face of the clock.
The second picture of the clock and tazzas on the display case is it's new home.
I didn't realize that clocks were sold with accessories. Learn something every day..thanks for posting.
