Honiton Pottery Eastern Scroll Pattern Creamer. 4 1/4" Tall X 4" Handle to Spout. Art Deco design
Although anecdotal history of Honiton Pottery (Devonshire) is said to date back to 1881, clear documentation about its existence dates back only to 1918 when Charles Collard (1874-1969) set up shop in Honiton's High Street. Collard had previously owned Crown Dorset Art Pottery in Poole (Dorsetshire).
The pottery's peak production was in the 1930's. Collard's daughter Joan became a partner in the pottery at that time. In 1947 Norman Hull and Harry Barrett bought the pottery. The pottery ceased operations in 1997.
Here are links to more information on the pottery and its production.
