New England Public Bell Telephone Globe from small village on Cape Cod, MA

This telephone globe was wrapped in a blanket on a top shelf in the basement for as long I've know. I'm 56. My brother said, my father bought it from someone in town in the 1960s. It had sat atop a pole where a telephone office had been. My town history research can't confirm that part. I did meet a 95 year old woman who does remember the telephone office. She said there was no Summer resident home service. Summer people would walk the 1/2 mile from their beach homes if they wanted to make a call. Every year's map from the last 120 year says otherwise. No photographs confirm this either
