My mother purchased this lamp online a few months ago for $30 (good deal). I love it and have been searching for one since. Found another one online for $125. Not willing to pay that much. Does anyone know manufacturer and age of this lamp? It’s 12” tall. Thank you

Contact the seller and offer what you think is a fair price. Tell them your mom found one for $30. Can't hurt to try...

From the one pic it doesn't really look all that old to me, thus I'd tend to think your Mom's price is much more realistic...?? It is pretty any way about it, I like the shade a lot!

They are from the 1970's and very few are signed . 97% are not signed. I would think probably from the U.S., though a few countries were making these lamps popular at the time. The metalwork was very good for instance on a lot of these. This was more of a transition type lamp from one period of the next modern period. Some of these were expensive with the crystals a lot of them had, trying to be a version of a coal oil or kerosene lamp. In general these lamps were made from the early 70's and up to 1984 roughly.

These were in a lot of garage sales also in the 1990's when people were going for other lighting. I used to pick up a few back then when I would do a couple sales a year as I was walking a lot. The craze for statue or crystal lamps started late 1967 when tastes were drastically changing. I still have my fathers lamps he used to bring home from that period from alleys during the 90's. I believe his was dated with a B73 or so, and I think I documented the company but never wrote it down as I was not sure if I would sell it or put it back in the alley. His also has a nicely done base of good pierced detail.

Just before these the chicago area produced statue lamps again in late 1967 with a lot of crystal but those came earlier before the 70's, in about late 1967. They were produced by the Continental Art pottery Co. also in the U.S. Yours would be 1970's for sure.
