Its really as if the glassworks scored so big with this wonderful bird. It is almost begging to be displayed and can imagine the glory this one would get in a room becoming a revered place when seeing this magnificent bird working with the sun to create a beautiful haven !~
Great looking bird- I seen it and thought it was some kind of whale (I nearly always do mistake sleek glass objects as whales!) :D
I’ll admit it’s the first glass Asian pheasant I’ve ever seen and I’m impressed, the sculpt and sharp parts of his tail feathers are beautiful, they make him look so sleek!
With thanks to you all for the kind love

Thank you Phil for your terrific praise for this blue glass pheasant, it is certainly a large noticeable piece and I did my best to take flattering pix on a sunny day. I am running out of display places for these big ones, will post them in their current credenza home soon until I can find a suitable cabinet
Lauren I love your first impressions of the thumbnail pix - this is definitely a whale sized bird, and in blue that's very plausible! This is my 2nd large pheasant by Paden City, and this one is much fancier with the curvy feathers, glad you liked it :) What is amazing is that it's held up so well for its 1940 age, it was a very lucky find and I hope to add more Asian style animals down the road as their look is quite elegant & different. Thank you for your always fabulous appreciation
Many thanks Daisy for the love for this blue glass pheasant, I'm really glad you liked it and your thoughtfulness is always very much appreciated
Here you again Jenni, teaching me about American glass!
I had never heard of Paden City Glass.
This is a relatively old figurine and look at it! Great condition, wonderful posed pheasant, and the icy blue glass.
Amazing, Jenni. Thanks for showing it!
Oh you are so right Karen, this glass bird is SO old and SO huge it was nerve wracking awaiting shipment in the mail, the seller packed it super carefully and for the life of me I don't know how something like this arrives unscathed, whew! Glad to have this and one other (different style) pheasant by Paden City Glass to introduce you to this co, there are still many other US vintage glass co's I have yet to add but their product availability gets scarcer over time, I'm always trying tho & hope to have more down the road. Fabulous compliments as always my friend, humble thanks :)
I seen one or two of these in other colors .... they don't give them away...'-)) enjoy the day..
Thank you Glenn for your great comment and love for this glass pheasant, you are so right these are usually very costly ( I was able to snag this at a fair price though luckily). Would love to see it in other colors. You have a great holiday week as well
Belongs on Vivien Leigh's mantel along with her 1940 Oscar. :)
Thanks HappyHourOwls for your very nice & flattering comment, wow could you imagine if Vivien Leigh put this bird next to her GWTW Oscar, that would really slay me she's always been a favorite actress of mine. Very nice of you to say :)
Really elegant looking! Nice detail on this one!
Thank you MrsT for your super compliments/love on this glass pheasant, it is a very elegant piece and I was super lucky to find it at an affordable price - most big older glass animals are priced in the stratosphere!!
Very grateful for the love jb & Searching, so glad you enjoyed my big blue glass Asian pheasant & greatly appreciate your kind consideration
