Each panel is framed in an Eastlake type frame with a pressed metal overlaying wood. The embroidery appears to be terrific. A little faded overall. I'd guess around 1910 for them. What do you think? Chinese, I presume. Or maybe Japanese??
I was told on a FB site on Chinese textiles that this appears to be early Ching.
Beautiful & in good shape !
is this Shunzi ? actually never thought of that, don,t gamble with possibly value pieces , just send a picture to the Metropolitan
i don,t trust this but i am not an expert on this maybe I, Nagy known on Asian Art Forum
i have no idea, but i didn't spend much on them, so i'm cool either way. i think they are pretty and i love the frames.
