I restored this vintage Hanson Model 8910 100-pound scale. It was manufactured in Chicago in May, 1944. The company was kept quite busy by the manufacturing boom of World War II (the company produced steel toolboxes, steel blocks for tank gun sights, and its usual line of farm scales, which were still deemed necessary during wartime). The Hanson Brothers Scale Company was founded in the early 1890's by Marius and William Hanson in Chicago and remained in the Hanson family for 3 generations.
