This is quite an incredible pair of Mid-20th Century West German Studio Ceramic Vases.
I've always called them the "Babylonians" & it took me years to realise that the teal colour is actually supposed to emulate the verdigris that would be on items like this if they were bronze and actually ancient.
I love the juxtaposition of the relief of the "Babylonians" against the very crisp, clear Fleur de Lys & applied strap handles.
All in all a very interesting pair.

Indeed a very interesting pair of vases.
On other websites they think the images on this floor vase by Fohr-Keramik are on one side Persian warriors with a big lion and on the other side a rider fighting with a lion.
Fohr changed the original brand from "Made in Germany" to W. Germany" in the late 60's / early 70's. This gives an idea when these vases were produced.
      Fohr-keramik only used white clay.

@mp.kunst have you got any links to other sites referencing these vases?
I had terrible trouble identifying them.

Maybe it is because you used Fhör Keramic instrad of Fohr-Keramik.

@mp.kunst ahhhh that would definitely explain it!
Huge props and great thanks for your assistance with this one, much appreciated.
So it would seem they are not very common in the "verdigris" colour, or in pairs.
      Thanks kindly once again
