here is the newest addition to my collection I now call "Flash Pave".
I found this matching necklace / choker that is perfect ! there are two layers to the piece the bottom layer of chained rhinestones is secure and does not move, while the top layer is only secured to the edge and the rest of the chain moves with motion of the wearer.
Liquid Rhinestones!
Lori you are the new queen of Eleganza, this set on first glance is a complete knockout in round Uno. It appears as a number one set and must have come out of the 1960's, maybe 63 or 64 but just a conjecture. This set really refers well to the word "pave", french for pavement Pave (pronounced pah-vey) is French for pavement, and when used to describe jewelry, indicates that tiny diamonds or gemstones have been used to ‘pave’ the metal. The beauty of pave lies in its ability to hide the metal with sparkling, bright gemstones that give the overall design brilliance and detail. Sherman also loved to do these "paved" jewels and unlike coro or trifari did not show a lot of metal, preferring paving for much of his pieces.
Phil - thank you for your kind words and appreciate the compliment! thank you also for the expert insight on this set. Lori
