The rhinestone border is the finishing bit! I love that shell glass.
Gorgeous piece, this beauty makes the large stones look like Cabochons !~
I bought the wife a new winter coat this year and shes back into wearing brooches on the lapel of the coat ...I wont let her see this one,.. its a cocker ....love the colors...later
I love this little turtle, especially the color!
Cute little turtle brooch! Nice addition to your collection
Beautiful little turtle brooch- she also really reminds me of a terrapin(little claws and all are detailed in her here!) and terrapins are the cutest!
Her deep brown colour is also nicely realistic, it looks almost like the brown of a turtle shell anyway, I also love the added brown stones around her shell- she's very sweet!
With thanks to you all for the turtle love

Thanks Karen for your terrific comment, I really love that glowing red-brown shell myself, and the tiny rhinestones all round are a real enhancement. Have another DeNicola turtle but totally different type, this was a very creative designer
Phil thank you for your fabulous praise, it's a really unusual cabochon and almost looks like a gemstone, the type you would find in a crystal cavern - I love it too :)
Thank you Glenn for your super compliment, it is a pretty cool lil turtle & glad you think your wife would like it too. I'll bet her brooches look lovely on her coat, we'll be getting alot of wear out of our warm coats this winter, so chilly already
Scott thank you for your wonderful praise for this turtle, isn't that a super color for its shell, had it near the window so you could see the changing hues, it's so cool
Thank you MrsT for your great comment, glad you saw the cute factor in this turtle & it's a very welcome addition to my collection, gotta love turtles they make such creative subjects
Lauren thank you for your awesome praise and yes, very terrapin-like with its little head and claws, nice comparison! I also love the realistic brown tones here both on the shell & tiny rhinestone border. I think small turtles are really cute, while the huge ones look positively prehistoric - we saw a mated pair of the Galapagos type at a Hawaiian zoo, they looked like something out of Jurassic Park lol
Thank you Mary for the love for this DeNicola turtle, really glad you liked it and always grateful for your thoughtfulness
Very nice.I’m glad you posted this because you reminded me of a collection of turtles I have that I’ll post here when I have time.Hope you had a good Christmas and a even better New Years
jb I'm just seeing your great comment now, I don't get email comment notifications from CW anymore & I apologize for not checking on my posts as I usually do. Your turtle collection sounds fabulous, I love turtles & hope you will post that soon it must be awesome! Holidays were good but low key, with the rampant virus we thought it best to just see one of my brothers who was triple vaxed & visiting from CT, otherwise ours was quiet. Hope your Christmas was wonderful and the New Year will be safe and prosperous, all the best luv J.
Thanks much jb & DecoVoo for the kind loves, very nice of you and always grateful to receive :)
