I’m still not sure why these early Chevron signs are so hard to find and so expensive? We managed to find this one from a Collector in Sioux Falls SD, but I’ll agree that was a long drive from Provo. It felt shorter as we stopped off at Mount Rushmore and even the famous Wall Drug Store that I have seen advertised for decades. This nice sign now hangs proudly from the ceiling of the new Lakeside Museum and Event Center in Provo. The Flying V in the center of the sign was a symbol of winning WWII during the 40s and predated the red white, blue Chevron shield of the mid 50s. This is likely a 40s sign.
