old HAZELLE'S MARIONETTE HOBBY KIT

The box is in dreadful shape but most of it is there, the marionette inside appears pristine! According to the box this is a "Hazelle's Marionette Construction Kit 103-BOY (With Costume)". If he was a kit somebody else has long since apparently put him together successfully. His costume isn't the clown on the boxcover, a plaid shirt and jeans instead, complete with black plastic shoes. He is controlled by the "Hazelle's Patented Airplane Control".

I don't know exactly how old he is, but the Hazelle's Marionette's address is given in "Kansas City 6, MO." so I'll guess 1950's vintage. Although I undid the neatly tied (remains of the) box for these pics, I did not remove the little guy himself, so I don't know if there is anything unexpected on his backside or not.
