Wood Carved Sandpiper Bird
From tail to beak: Approximately 9 1/2"
I have a weakness for wood carved objects, particularly animals. So of course I couldn't pass this one up. I believe that it is a sandpiper bird. If someone thinks otherwise, please let me know.
Bottom is marked DJM, but I'm not sure who made it. More research needed.

Fabulous sandpiper, my favorite sea bird
