This was dragged up in a fishing net, on George’s Bank, in the gulf of Maine. I have had it for about 20 years. The fisherman who gave it to me is dead.
Tried contacting the University of Southern Maine. No reply. Any information would be appreciated.
9 1/2” tall, 6” wide at the widest section, 4” on the opening…unglazed, but bluish tint to interior

The shape is very distinct. I was trying to compare it to older Maine pottery. Then I thought maybe from a fishing vessel?

I think you should contact some local pottery places. Or you local historical society..I've found these places to be very helpful
