Juliana blue Brooch with a leaf shaped metal piece, ref #1920. (https://www.isitjulianajewelry.com/view.php?id=1920)
This brooch measures about 2-1/2" long.
According to the information that I have read, Juliana was the name of a series / collection of jewelry produced by DeLizza & Elster during 1967, a one-year period. Most were sold on paper cards or hang tags reading Juliana. According to Pamela Wiggins Siegel (https://www.antiquetrader.com/collectibles/juliana-jewelry-identify) JULIANA was the name of DeLizza's mother.
Hoping to see what Eileen says if she chirps in, she knows more about the use of metal than I do on d&e. I always wanted to collect their jewels but did not know where to start or how to proceed. It really is not like Sherman in that you have to know the jewellery fairly well before you start buying willy nilly.
Could we see the back please, and what are the dimensions?
Phil you are right, when I started collection that's what I did - collect. After a while you get a feel for the real thing and is becomes second nature, the D&E pieces I have all have been acquired without knowing who made them until I did research, took the criticism (from some), the advice and information offered and learned.
Eileen was very patient and helpful in guiding me along.
Much as you have been in my collecting of SHERMAN.
Thank you both. Lori

I am becoming a huge fan of D&E, Juliana, this brooch is very nice and very different from the Sherman I collect. Thanks for sharing!
