Hello everyone!!
This would be another of my cast iron match holders. It's in the form of a lady's boot. It's all original and in remarkable condition at that. These match holders adorned the tabletops in parlors back in the day and were there for visitors to light the pipes, cigars or cigarettes. I've seen so many of these in different forms, but this one is the only one I've seen with the gold accents on the boot. This one is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It measures 5" tall and the base is 5" long and 3 3/4" wide. It weighs just over 2lbs.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
