Hi guys. Today I have this Antique Opaline Glass Perfume Set. I'm not sure if is of Czech/Boho origin or French maybe? The pieces are all blown with rough pontils except for the powder jar which is smooth. The bottle have matching numbered stoppers. I think a 6? And the other is a 1. The glass shifts from satin finish to gloss. The interiors are gloss and the bulging areas where the gold rings are painted are gloss. I assume the hint of blue at the shoulders is painted and it is satin as well. The blue is much lighter on the powder jar lid.
I am curious as to the country of manufacturer/maker and approximate year. The style seems French but the enamel decoration does not...atleast to me. Thanks Everyone.
Def!..Bohemian not French and possibly Harrach..very nice to have the set, they usually one or even two will get broken or they get split up..love them..
Thank you inky.....I have heard of being able to research old Harrach design catalogues......is that possible?
Also...what is it about them that makes you consider Harrach? The motif? Style? etc...I am trying to learn more about Czech/Bohemian art glass.
