Hello everyone!!
A recent find is this solid bronze sculpture of two baby rabbits. I love these baby rabbits and their nice details. I've seen this in resin version, but this one is solid bronze. I was able to clean and wax this with transparent bronze wax, but a lot of the verdigris still remains. This piece measures 4 1/2" wide, 3 3/8" long and approximately 2 1/8" tall. It weighs 1lb 5oz.
Thanks for stopping for a look!!

Adorable bronze baby rabbit pair, that first photo has them looking very affectionate - an early Easter delight :)
Adding to the group what a nice pair. The verdigris does help in showing the details with the contrast and all, does it damage the bronze severely, I heard vinegar will remove that stuff. I don't know what it would do the finish of bronze. Lori
Thank you Jenni! In the spring and summer we have a lot of cottontail nest around our property. So, we get to see a lot of baby rabbits. We've even witnessed a mother cottontail nursing her babies. That was a sight you won't often see in a lifetime!!!
Thanks Lori!! I do like a bit of verdigris on my older pieces of bronze. But, I've never used vinegar to clean bronze, but I do use transparent bronze wax which does an amazing job. The wax also protects and shines the bronze. Each year I clean and wax all of my bronze pieces that I keep outdoors.
