This is a honey ...'-))
I love this so much- the pose and style of it is so beautiful! I first seen the thumbnail and thought: 'Awesome, Jenni's uploaded a whale this week!' XD
This koi is beautiful, except when I see him, all I can see is a whale- I think it's his tail and the fact he has no backfin.... (also the fact he's reminding me of the time I went whale spotting and have such memories of these great beings)
The fish scales are so well done, gives a great layered look to it, along with the folds in the tail fin. :)
This Koi brooch is wonderful! So nicely detailed.
Lovely!
Lots of detail and interesting with the braided look on back! Nice addition to your collection!

Thank you Shuzbut for your lovely compliment, this is rather a sweet lil fish & glad you liked!
Lauren that split tail could certainly belong to a breaching whale, great eye! I also love the basketweave golden scales, it's a really cool take on a koi fish which I think are so gorgeous in real life. Fabulous comment as always thanks so much!
Thank you Scott for your awesome comment & appreciation of the detail here, what I really love are the round circled eyes which look inspired by Asian designs. Glad you enjoyed this swimmer
vintagelamp thank you for your great praise for this koi, agreed it is a pretty example of these intriguing large fish
Thank you MrsT for your fab comment & yes this is a very interesting design, the braided back is esp eye catching. Always love to add a pretty fish to my menagerie :)
Aw Searching, now THAT is such fantastic praise for this piece, you are too kind!! I can see the improvements to the Dior design (though when given the choice, one must always go with the 'real deal' gold and diamonds!) in that the Butler version is very bright & clean, a hallmark of their lovely designs and why I really love them esp the figurals
Marvelous praise Phil thanks so much, I think the basketweave body is ultra beautiful and this wonderful Canadian designer is absolutely terrific
