Cast Iron Farm Animals Doorstop

Another interesting doorstop I picked up. This one has farm animals stacked up.

I have seen these associated with companies like Midwest of Cannon Falls and others. There are several variations of this doorstop. They are hand painted and even the same styles are a little different.

I reached out to our resident expert Scott. He said, "I'm not truly sure when these were created, but the majority of these were designed and manufactured by China National and many are marked with a "CN" on the backside or even a single digit like yours.".

Now I believe that mine has some sort of two digit cast mark not a single digit. I may have to get some thinner and see if I can uncover the mark. Also I cleaned this up before photos. The paint seems much more muted than the other newer cow doorstop I posted. It will remain anonymous for now. Regardless I like it and bought it well.
