A few pieces of railroad hardware from my collection. Both extremely rare examples of anything that survived from the Baltimore and Ohio's large class EM-1 2-8-8-4 steam locomotives. Only 30 of that class were built and none were preserved after their careers ended. Here is a Headlight. Made by Pyle it is large and very heavy. It was set aside along with 2 others in the late 50's at a scrap yard in Ohio. The 3 headlights still survive to this day. I know where the other 2 reside. The actual locomotive number was lost to time so I added an appropriate EM-1 number for better representation and display. Second item is just as rare as the headlight. This whistle also came from one of the 30 EM-1 locomotives. Made by Nathan and is a "hooter" type single chime. For years only two were know to be in existence. When this one surfaced a dozen plus years ago it became the 3rd to have known to survive.
