Hello, I am looking for information please - I have a Hazel Atlas Criss Cross 8 1/2" Square Green Fridge Dish with an interesting, clear glass lid - the 8 perimeter squares on the lid have an etched frosted star in each one -- the centre square has been left plain --- I was told years ago that Hazel Atlas etched those stars into pieces intended for the Canadian market -- any truth in that or is there another explanation that someone could help me with? -- greetings from Vancouver Island, Canada & thanks in advance for any help -- cheers, Geebs ----- reachgerry@gmail.com

my guess is simply 3rd party decorating house, as was typical of the time. photos look more gray/wheel cut rather than etched.
