Hello everyone!!
The latest addition to my rabbit and match holder collection is this wonderful little drumming rabbit. This piece would date back to the late 1800's or earlier. Every aspect of this piece is extremely detailed from his ears to his feet. Judging by his drumsticks, and a few small remaining traces, this piece was once bronze plated, but the plating is long gone after many decades of exposure to the elements. This piece is made of spelter and was in extremely poor condition, when it came into my possession. I gave it a very careful cleaning and waxed it with transparent wax.
Thank you all very much for stopping in for a look!!

Nice piece and looks great the way it is..has character!
Thanks Dave!!
Fabulous design, this rabbit looks like he's really into the marching music, love him!
Thanks Jenni!! I'm thinking that this would have represented a civil war drummer, but could be wrong about that.
