Old Guatemalan Slingshot - carved wood with a lizard/chameleon. I first saw these slingshots when i was travelling in Guatemala when i was 19. An Indian man walked a long ways into Panajachel to sell his slingshots. I bought a couple then 1982. I was surprised to find this one recently in a thrift shop in Oakland. You don't usually see the ones w/ lizards/chameleons anymore. You only find ones w/ people, dogs or .... a couple other themes.

thanks Newfld. i have a lot of connections w/ the indian people of Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. but especially guatemala. i've had a secret partner from there for over 10 yrs now and we are pretty crazy over each other, but cannot speak of it with anyone from his world.
