Guess what -- yes, yet one *more* thing I've got that I don't really know anything about...?? ;-)
It is a very old appearing intricately woven rug, (tapestry?) probably made of wool (because I think that's the common material for such?) that measures approx. 49" x 75". Though it looks fully solid/opaque on a surface, there are actually regular 'spaces' within the weave that would seem to be intentional. (pic 3 shows that) There are also a couple apparent small tears and wear spots, possibly even a tiny bit of moth damage, but not a whole lot of any of that near as I can tell.
No matter what it is, it seems potentially fragile enough that I don't think I'd want to put it anywhere on *my* floors...? (as if I actually had a bare spot that large on a floor someplace, that is...?)
If anybody out there *can* tell me something about it, or point me in a direction to look, I'd be ever-so grateful??!!
