I purchased a cracking group of silver bits for £28.00 and this item, I am presuming it is a cap badge although it seems to be rather large. It is very light and feels like nickel silver rather than solid. The rims a bit bashed and the hooks are a bit bent but the clarity of the mould is superb. Any more info would be appreciated. Neil

This would be the left side insignia for a pith helmet of the Afrika Corps (DAK). Like many collectables, they are being faked and caused prices to drop for originals. Not saying this is a fake, but collectors are very wary. The right side insignia would be the national colours in shield shape.
