Cool.. I bought a wooden box full of odd ball ammo awhile back..everything from civil war to .50bmg..
Here's a rare pin fire round that was in the wooden box..just rolling around with all that loose live ammo!

I have a bunch of 30/40 Krag live rounds I got as a surprise years ago. Never know what is in a box when you buy bulk items. My grandfather had a lever action 45/70 so I am familiar with that one but never heard of the 50/70. I guess we lern every day. Thanks for sharing this and the info about it.
