I think that this is a Mexican version of that famous print called 'Hope' which shows a woman in tattered clothes on a rock in the ocean and she has a string instrument with only a couple strings left. This piece was very dirty when i found it. I spent a long time cleaning it up. I'm not certain it's Mexican but the naivete makes it look Mexican. I think it's older than it appears to be - maybe early 20th c?
