"Based on the Spittler & Bailey book,

"A Read & Co., ca 1818 to early 1830s. Abner and Amassa. Made mostly cherry tallcase clocks with 30 hour wooden movements with wood dials signed A. Read & Co. Xenia, Ohio. Seatboards stamped with Orascus (or Oliver) Roberts. Movements identical to and probably supplied by Luman Watson of Cincinnati. ""

Beautiful clock! Thanks for sharing with us.
      Great tips dav2no1!

You might try reaching out to a public library in Eaton, Ohio to see if they have any information about O. Roberts in their historical archives. If they don't, perhaps they can direct you to someone who might have more information on the clock maker.

Sometimes different parts of an old Tall Case Clock like this had different tradesmen in their fabrication. Movement made by someone different from the Case/Cabinet maker. Even the dial and hands could have been painted by someone who specialized in that part of clock making.
Please let us know what you turn up in your research
      Good luck!

      Bruce
