    Here's a 19th century silver Scottish brooch. It has an old tiny chain and small pin that acts as the safety clasp. The original c clasp was changed in the 20th century to the roll over style. I'm posting this for TrishWN.

      Hi Rancher'swife, Didn't see your comment until now. The metal is silver and there are no marks. Early Scottish jewelry often doesn't have any.
