Japanese Kokeshi Dolls
I was at one of my local sellers today and they had a huge amount of kokeshi dolls. They said they were in storage for at least 6 years and were acquired from an Asian woman's estate.
I bought these because they were different from others that you normally see. I'm mot sure if these are categorized as Kokeshi?
The tallest is approximately 2 5/8" and the smallest just under 1 1/2". They have little turned wooden bowls they sit in. And appear to have a branch bud sticking out of the 2 larger ones.
Not sure what the orange sticker says..its confusing.

They are kokeshi, classed as “omiyage” (souvenir) kokeshi, probably made during the kokeshi boom period 1950s-early 1970s.
I believe they are meant to represent acorns.
