These are all pics of my home in Regina in 1988
The lamp in the first fhoto was about 6' and 7 inches
The items I had I used to make and sell a lot of postcards during the years 1981 to about 1987. I worked in tandem with 1 or 2 other people to save on studio space in New York although I started in Toronto.
During the years of 1987 and 1988 I had two homes, 1 in Regina which I loved and a second home in Saskatoon as I was not really sure which city would be my stationary home during those years. During those years I was mainly working with lamps and ashtrays. I sold a lot of lamps those years and these at that time were not for sale. I found I was still working with photography so I sold pics that I worked on and painted also. During the 1990's I also had a third home in Calgary which I loved the downtown view from my balcony. That highrise was a two bedroom and was part of my book business.
Hilarious ..
Phil I love your decor, very elegant and beautiful objects - I'm very fond of flamingos & yours are really lovely. Is the reclining lady one of your models she looks pooped :)
Thanks Jenni, she is one of the others in studio I worked with, Thanks dav2no1 also.
I love the pics and the decor Phil! Your homes were really spread across North America. I spent several weeks in downtown Calgary and spent a lot of time in Toronto and Montreal back in the late 1980's, but it was all job related. I remember being at a sports bar in Calgary when the Flames were playing for the cup. I still have some flames shooter glasses from that night in Calgary.
Pic#3 even makes a headache look stylish and appealing. ;^)
Looks a lot like the jaguar I had in my penthouse in MoBay, Jamaica. I'm curious if that was the (legal) cat I saw everyday ? Back in the late 70's-early 80's. Ms. Bradshaw was selling, but I was too busy and knew nothing of value, so passed.
Love all of the items! The ashtray reminds me of my airplane table.
Thanks dav2.
Thank you jscott0363 and you are right a lot of places but better in some cities than hotels as my business made me stay there up to 3 or 4 times a year.
Thanks Watchsearcher and vintagelamp, I loved all my pieces and finding pieces in Calgary was nice as I did not have to ship back right away !~
What a amazing life you made for yourself! So accomplished. Fabulous photo's and the flamingo caught my eye :-) xo
Thanks Mani, I remember the statue was the very first of any merit that I had to have. It was marked sold & had to convice the dealer to sell it to me. Luckily...
When I got the box for the flamingo I could see the flamigo's neck coming from the hands of the delivery man & was so lucky it was not damaged. Whew !~
Okay, I am assuming your current quarters have similar style and stock. I would like to move in. You may stay as you are a handsome complement. I will of course have to bring my parrot along, as well as all my Happy Hour Owls. A suitable corner will be necessary for them. I will require several weeks to put things in order here in Cleveland. Please advise. :))
Somehow that phrase "go all in or go broke" seems to apply here. We had a parrot lady in my city, however that was sometime in the 80's. She had 2 large cages I think she used. I love art deco but I really go nuts over Regency or Empire furniture now !~
Too much fun!
Isn't mind a happy place to play?
You have great style and taste.
Love the radio set. And is that a Westinghouse pitcher over it? I love these, I am always looking for one with the right design and color. Lovely pics.
Phil, you have some amazing pieces!

Thank you blunder and vintagelamp, and again HappyHourOwls for the comments, love right back at you !~
