Interesting piece...I'm curious..please don't take offense to my question..

Are you some sort of mega-hoarder? Every piece you post, you say you took out of a box and don't remember anything about it? Did you just buy mass quantities of stuff and tuck them away for a rainy day? So curious..

I was addicted to buying stuff for about 6 years, I was out buying every day and would come back with a couple of bags of stuff, totally crazy, filled a whole loft full of stuff then stopped as moved & had to put my stuff in storage, that’s why I’ve not seen stuff for years around 7 years or so , I have not seen some things since the day I bought them. I’ve posted a lot on here but must have 4 times as much. Loved finding interesting items, getting old now and stopped buying for over 5 years now.

Ok. Thanks for explaining. We do love seeing your stuff. You seem to have a good eye and have some treasures. Can't wait to see what comes out of the older boxes.

No problem dav I emptied storage but now have boxes in one room, stacked to the ceiling almost. Trying to sort them but it’s difficult due to the lack of space. Glad you appreciate the postings. I gradually got better at finding stuff, ran out of space so started buying silver instead. Lol

Your ashtray is Sklo Union, designed by Rudolf Jurnikl and made at Rosice.

Thanks sklo I’ve heard that name and think I have something else made by him as well. Is it 60s then ?

It is sixties. You may well have more Jurnikl designs, they sold well. Together with Urban and Vizner they were 'the big three'. Sklo Union was my first glass passion and I still have them.
