Glass Lovers like me, please share your expertise to help me determine how old this dish is. It is an extremely detailed 'copper wheel' engraved and cut glass oval dish 9" x 12". The work is SO finely detailed (for example) that the animals have eyelids & jowls and the humans' clothes have little buttons! The cut scalloped edges are all beveled. There is a 12-petal cut flower on the underside, the petals are then outlined on the edge. The dish has a sustained ring, not the 'crystal' vibrating high-pitched bell tone, but a VERY LONG ring! It fluoresces light greenish-yellow under blacklight (I've read European would not, so perhaps this was made in England or America by skilled immigrants?) The glass has many tiny 'bubbles' but under magnifying glass these are actually tiny black granules of impurity in the glass. There are no whitish grayish cullet like American early flint glass (these black granules are much smaller). I am not sure what the form of the dish says about the date made. I welcome your informed judgements on how old this is. I would love to know definitively. Thanks, all.
