Letter from the President of Westside Machine Works in Kankakee Illinois to a customer that had previously contacted them about needing safety pins and unable to find any. He talks about how due to the world war going on at the time, the many hardships it caused including the scarcity of a number of common every day items like the safety pins. He goes on to say that their employees did thorough check of stock and tool room and found some so he attached them to the letter for her! To see something from that time period radiate what the true definition of customer service is, is a rare find!
