This one could often qualify as a 'church attic find' except this one didn't require a climb to retrieve today -- instead it had just been discarded in an otherwise typical mechanical room housing mostly HVAC equipment, likely many years ago. For some reason, it seems like lots of 'the people who change burnt out lightbulbs' in large commercial spaces (churches, or most any other kind of big building) don't always make a habit of taking the burnt out ones away with them, if there's any other handier place they can leave them first...??

Frankly I usually leave them there too...but today I took this one away with me because I needed to move it *someplace* else anyway, so why not?? <lol> It IS, as matter of fact, just a little bit (or should that be a big bit?) out of the ordinary, as far as lightbulbs go??

It is shown on my computer keyboard for size, about 9" long overall. It has what's termed a "mogul" size screw base -- one size bigger than those found in most household lights. It is also still wearing what I'd imagine is lots of its mostly original DUST, both from its time installed in a light fixture someplace and the time afterward until now. There is also a darkened area inside the neck of the bulb which was developed from the heat of its operation over time. Its marking shows the G.E. logo and wattage, also that it was rated for 130v (a bit higher than typical, which tends to make such bulbs last longer) and was made in Mexico.
