I think I'm probably pretty safe calling this ca. 1954, it very recently came off the roof of another neighborhood house where it was probably original equipment, and that's the year my whole block was built. :-) It survived the removal perfectly intact and was left by the curb, where I then recovered it. :-) :-)

It stands roughly 2' tall, and pic 2 is blurry showing that it still spins as freely, effortlessly, and silently as it should. Pic 3 is looking up inside it, and pic 4 is its label showing it specifically is a TRIANGLE TURBINE with LOCKED IN LUBRICANT, made by Triangle Engineering Co. of Houston, Texas.

I've always thought these things were pretty cool, especially when they get a nice rusty patina on them like this one. :-) :-) :-) It is destined to become a new feature of my rust garden, where I happen to think it'll *fit right in*?! :-) :-) :-) :-)

Well whodathunk it -- here's a fun sorta accidental extra bit of trivia discovered today. TRIANGLE ENGINEERING did indeed live in Houston until the mid 1970's, at which point they moved to Jacksonville, AR where they remain in business today.

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, makes them now a "local small business", to me -- Jax is at an edge of our 'metro' here, and is also the home to a US Air Force Base. Cool!! :-) :-) :-)
