It came with a little assortment of machinist's tools a long time ago, but I've never really thought it 'belonged' with 'em...that 'One of These Things Don't Go with the Others' game and all...what proper handful of old tools doesn't come with one?? ;-) :-) :-)
It is about 8" long, the handle seems to be hollow cast aluminum with lengthwise narrow grooves along its sides and a pair of wider opposing ones at its end near where the plated steel blade is fixed in it. One small stamping is the only mark on it (pic 2) which may be a 'M over a W', or an 'H', or 'two narrow diamonds side by side'.
The end of the blade is hollow with sawteeth (two broken now) around the edge and a triangular pointed center inside. The hollow part is about an inch long and looks like it would make a 1/4" hole in **SOMETHING** --
but just WHAT, exactly, ple-e-e-e-e-ase . . . ??
The $2 is cool...but..it screws up image searches. Either loose the $2 or take pictures so the item is horizontal..that may help.

Much better...its either an orthopedic tool, surgical or a curette...create... this search..they all have similar handles..
