Hello everyone!!
This is the only cast iron English Bulldog still bank that I own. These were produced in the 1920's. I'm not truly sure if Hubley made this one as it was also produced by National and Albany foundries as well. Hubley cataloged theirs as "Bulldog #220". It's original white and tan brindle colors have long since faded away, but still a great little bank. This one is a 3 piece design, held together with a single screw, (shown in pic #4) which was more costly to manufacture, at the time, than the 2 piece doorstop version of similar design. So, the banks tend to be more sought after than the doorstop version. This one stands 8 13/16" long and 6 1/16" tall and weighs 4.3lbs.
Thanks so very much for stopping in for a look!!!

I like his patina...looks like he's survived the storm..and is still kicking..
Thanks Dave!! Yes, he's seen many years pass by, but has nicely survived.

Wonderful English bulldog bank, what a terrific find!
Thank you Jenni!! I'd been looking for one of these for quite a long time, but sellers tend to want a small fortune for them.
