    Hello
Does anyone have information about these kind of antique China doll replacement legs? To me they look and feel like wood but might instead be composition. Over the past 10 years two different antique China doll purchases had this type of painted replacement leg. The painting looks professional and I wondered if they could be something that the manufacturer offered which would date them as such. Finding 1 is one thing but finding 2 - what are the chances of that right? Thanking you in advance for any knowledge or insight you might be willing to share. Joan

The porcelain legs look original, and some talented person made a leg to match design. Could have been made of paper mache ?

Thank you for your comment and Yes, it could very well be papier mache'. I'm impressed with the talent.
