Here's another thing that any self-respecting 'organ man' ends up with a bag/box/drawerful of, practically by default. ;-) :-)

All of these are little engraved plastic tags, that formerly served to identify some-or-other control or detail of an organ console. Anybody that's ever more than glanced at a console (the 'furniture' part of the organ with the keyboards, where the organist sits to play it) can see that the things tend to be *bristling* with little knobs and levers and buttons and stuff all over the place -- in most cases also with a little tag like these mounted close by so there isn't any doubt to the performer 'what does what'. (or at least is supposed to, anyway...) Utilitarian in nature, all these are made of assorted kinds of plastic materials commonly in use when they were new, which could be anytime between the 1930's-1990's for any particular one of these. Compare with the 6" ruler in some of the pics to give an idea of their size, they're all small, but a few are tiny. ;-) :-)

These have been rescued from consoles (or parts thereof) which are no longer with us (for whatever reasons) because, frankly, they are *also* things that can tend to 'go missing' from extant consoles sometimes, thus it never hurts to have an assortment of random ones from which a replacement might be chosen, every so often...?

Looking anew at them like this now (instead of in the little plastic parts drawer where they usually live) makes me think...they might look kinda fun too, mounted together in some interesting sort of old frame and hanging on a wall someplace...?? <lolol>
